In compliance with the CDC, and the Mayor, Fellowship will suspend our on-site services and activities until further notice. We will continue to have Bible study online and a Sunday message will be posted on our Facebook page each week. Praying peace and health, for each of you, our community and the world. Reverend Patricia Hailes Fears

Pastor Fellowship Baptist Church

Rev. Patricia Hailes Fears is a daughter of Fellowship Baptist Church.  She was called to be the second pastor of Fellowship in October of 2016.  She is a native of New Bedford, Mass but has called Washington, DC home for a number of years.  Reverend Fears served Fellowship Baptist Church enthusiastically, and creatively and prior to becoming Pastor she served at the Westover Baptist Church in Arlington, Virginia.

Reverend Fears has a passion to serve the Lord and a creative spirit.  Her ministerial resume includes youth, health, and educational leadership.  Humbly submitting to the irresistible call, Reverend Fears was ordained, she believes, to preach the simple message of God’s love, compassion and requirements to a world constricted by complexity.

Reverend Fears is actively involved in the DC Baptist Convention, a charter member of Faith Strategies, an ecumenical social justice organization, and co-founder of Sister Clergy.  She has been in the advertising sales business for 20 years serving in a number of leadership roles and an owner of Media FEARS a full serve advertising agency.  Reverend Fears has rich background of community engagement serving on several boards and committees: the American Heart Association, The D.C. Center for Independent Living, Past President of the Advertising Club of Metropolitan Washington, D.C., YMCA, NCNW, Wednesday Clergy Fellowship, and Worker Rights Review Board to name a few.  She is a member of the Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.

Reverend Fears completed her B.A. degree in English from Spelman College and received her Masters of Divinity Degree from Wesley Theological Seminary (2010). She and her husband Deacon Ernest Donald Fears, III are the proud parents of three wonderful sons, Ernest Donald the IV, Patrick Alan Drayton, and Francis Alexander.
